SIGNIFICANCE:This ground up custom Ducati started off life as a bare 1997 916 frame, it was originally completed in 2000.   It was awarded Best Superbike honors at Ducati Revs America (DRA) in 2001. Since then it has been in numerous shows and magazines, most recently the French magazine Cafe Racer. It has undergone a couple of face lifts in it's 8 years. The most recent was last year after winning Best Modified Superbike at the Fontana round of the 2007 Ducati Superbike Concorso. The face lift was completed just days before the Superbike Concorso final last year at Laguna. Although not competing in the final Vicki Smith generously invited me to being the bike to be displayed.
