| ENGINE: | Bevel Drive Square Case V-Twin, rebuilt using 86mm Ducati pistons, new Ducati valves, all ball bearings replaced with SKF premium series, new RIV crank main bearings, 5th gear modified to prevent dog & tooth breakage, plain bearing crank conversion with oil restrictors in the heads, high volume oil pump, spin-on oil filter conversion, case centers modified for oil drain back, hydraulic clutch conversion, clutch springs from a 450 single, shimmed for height. |
| CHASSIS: | Stock Frame painted Mini Flake Silver, Sport swingarm modified to SS specs, polished triple clamps, new head bearings, new fork tubes and seals, polished sliders, Works Performance shocks, stainless spokes, new wheel bearings, Borrani 4777 rims. Original body work. Tank reinforced with extra layers of 7 oz fiberglass with corrosion resistant resin, tank sealed for alcohol fuels, Candy Blue over Mini Flake Silver paint. |
| OTHER: | The "DucRod" is a mix of new and old parts and ideas. The bike was built as Tom wanted without too much concern for 100 point restoration. Nothing was done to the bike that could not be put back to stock if some future person wanted to do so. Lots of '70s flash with improved reliability and comfort. The paint has to be seen to be believed. |
| SIGNIFICANCE: | One of 249 750 SS built in 1975. A rare Ducati brought back from the dead 3 years ago when purchased as a pile of parts. |
