| BIKE: | 2002 998R |
| OWNER: | Steven Terbrueggen |
| LOCATION: | Florida |
| MILEAGE: | N/A—Race Bike |
| ENGINE: | Engine# h992000391, stock 998R engine with hi-compression pistons, 60.5mm exhaust, 48 tooth slipper clutch. Bought new from Bruce Meyers at BCM Ducati. 154rwp with above modifications. Tuned since 2003 by Sebastian at Melillimoto Ducati. |
| CHASSIS: | #469 of 700 998R models built. Ohlins front and rear. Radial brake master cylinder, Corse under seat oil breather box and in airbox reed valve. Double stack radiator. Magnesium wheels. Lightweight rear rotor. Carbon intake runners added to stock carbon airbox. Spare Corse carbon fuel cell. Cycle Cat bars. Axljack water pump and clutch covers. Cycle cat frame sliders. |
| OTHER: | I have been told that only 50 of the 998R models were brought into this country. Thus making this a fairly rare bike. This bike has never had a mechanical failure at the track, which is a true testament to the Testastretta engine. Of the four Ducati's we own, this is our favorite. |
| SIGNIFICANCE: | It has been raced in CCS and WERA rounds since new and has won numerous races. It may be the only 998R still being actively campaigned on the club racing level. Thanks to my son Josh for being my Pit Crew and to Sebastian at Mellilimoto Ducati for tuning. Steve TNT Racing, #702. |
