OTHER:This 750 F1 has the period updates that made it a significant force on the race track. The many victories this motorcycle had, kept Ducati on the front line racing in Southern California and also finishing 10th in the 1987 AMA Pro Twins National Road Race at Laguna Seca in the Grand Prix class. This 750 F1 won AFM and ARRA races in 1987 and 1988, winning the ARRA Open Twins class championship in 1988. Finished 2nd in the 1988 WSMC Open Superstreet Championship and 2nd Open Twins championship 1988.
SIGNIFICANCE:This 750 F1 Superbike is significant because it is a survivor of two years of pounding the racetracks in Southern California such as Riverside Raceway, Willow Springs, and also Laguna Seca. Lining up on the starting line against the best Superstreet and Twins riders that Southern California had to offer, then lining up against Marco Lucchinelli, James Adamo, Doug Brauneck and the rest of the best Twins riders of the late 1980's.
