SIGNIFICANCE:To me the Ducati design made history with the thrilling 916 and fully realized with the 996. It embodies superb Italian styling and couldn't be more visually perfect.

The overall vision of this bike was to retain the original Italia factory glory. It has only had aesthetic changes made to the body such as integrating the turn signals to smooth out the curves and upgrading the rear sets. Otherwise everything else is about performance while staying as subtle as possible...as if using 'Subtle' and 'Ducati' in the same sentence does anything but express one of the greatest dichotomies on this planet.

The key to this bike was brought home to Bologna on a factory tour 2 years ago for a visit with the family. It was quite a memorable reunion.
