OTHER:This model is the first Ducati twin ever reviewed by the magazines as a superbike and might very well be the Ducati model that coined the term "Superbike."
SIGNIFICANCE:The most significant items are the originality and low original mileage (2800) When I purchased this motorcycle it had approx. 1500 miles on it. I have added the natural rubber period Tomiselli grips and have ridden this great bike the added 1200 miles. This 750 GT was sold by Harry's Motors , a long time Berliner and Ducati dealer. It was sold in 1973 to a Denver resident who passed away in the 1980s. Harry's bought the bike back and repainted the red as well as replacing the tires. I purchased the bike in the 1980s and it has been in my collection ever since. The Scarab master cylinder was replaced after the Scarab one leaked . Parts were not available for that item at the time so I replaced it with a Brembo unit from the same period. Many of the 750 GTs were built into race bikes back then so not very many were left as original. At an auction of a Dealership in Colorado Springs a short time ago a similar, but not as nice, 750 GT went for $16,000. This shows the rarity of these bike in original condition.
